WHAT WE DO

The initiatives that the Cedi Foundation was established to provide individuals in resource poor settings, the medication, equipment and education needed to live healthy lives and be able to contribute to their local communities. The Cedi Foundation believes that healthcare is a human right, -thus our goal is to help provide care, create resource frameworks, and be an advocate for sustainable and meaningful local programs.

We believe that outstanding healthcare is the foundation of a strong community. With this focus on health, we are driven by an unwavering commitment to healthy living regardless of cultural, social or economic differences.

  • We repurpose unused medical supplies and equipment to facilities in Ghana
  • We proactively work to assist local healthcare facilities to offer basic services.
  • We pursue long-term solutions that will preserve the overall vitality of local communities.

Four ideas serve as the building blocks to the Cedi Foundation initiative

  • A Culture of Service
We value the ideal that can care, serve and inspire by being fully engaged in creating opportunities to support local communities in healthcare
  • Ownership and Empowerment
We value a program where the recipients of any monetary or resource assistance take ownership of their actions and are empowered to collaborate to reach a collective goal.
  • Integrity and Transparency
We value sharing information and emphasizing behavior that is consistently honest and reliable.
  • Mutual Respect
We value an environment that is built upon the respect of all individuals, regardless of the village, town or city where we are fortunate enough to serve.

In the end, we are a network of individuals and partner organizations who truly believe that even a cedi can make a difference for the world’s most vulnerable people. We are convinced that no matter how challenging the task may be, indifference is the most unfortunate disease of all.
